Attorneys
Robert Moss earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). During his first year of law school at Loyola University School of Law, he was awarded the West Publishing Company Award for finishing first in his class. He completed his law (Juris Doctor) degree at UCLA Law School, where he became a member of the prestigious Law Review. Mr. Moss worked with several notable Los Angeles law firms before starting his own private practice in 1981. He has been admitted to practice law in all of the state and federal courts in California, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. He is or has been a member of local, state and national professional associations, including the Los Angeles and California Trial Lawyers Association (now known as Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and California, respectively); the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the American Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Client Relations Committee. He also is a member of the Founders of UCLA Law School. He has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Downey, West Los Angeles, Glendale Municipal Courts, Santa Monica Superior Court and the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board; an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and Glendale Municipal Court; as an arbitrator and mediator for the JASOP Program of the Los Angeles County Bar Association; a Referee for the Santa Monica Superior Court's Civil Diversion and Voluntary Settlement Conference programs; a member of the Board of Directors of Nu Start and the Santa Monica Drug Abuse Council, and has provided free (pro bono) legal services in consumer litigation for the Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF). Most recently, he has served as a volunteer attorney with the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, and he has volunteered his time to assist Hurricane Katrina victims through the Pro Bono Council of Los Angeles and Bet Tzedek. Mr. Moss has spoken to elementary and high school students as a part of CRF's "Lawyer in the Classroom" program and was the attorney-coach for Sepulveda Junior High School's team which reached the finals in a countywide mock trial competition, and was an attorney coach for St. Michael's and All-Angels 7th-8th grade mock trial team that won the CRF mock trial championship trophy. A long-time resident of California, Mr. Moss lives with his wife and four children in the Los Angeles area.
